The launch trailer for the first season of Modern Warfare 3 has been released, along with its roadmap

The game's first update brings a wealth of new content to its three online aspects: multiplayer, Zombies, and Warzone.

It will be available on all platforms starting December 6 at 9 AM PT/ 12 PM ET/ 5 PM GMT/ 6 PM CET.

Key features of Modern Warfare 3's first season include:

• Three completely new 6v6 multiplayer maps.
• Multiplayer modes: Gunfight, All or Nothing, Infected, and Headquarters.
• New weapons and killstreaks.
• A new chapter in the Zombies storyline and Dark Aether Rifts.
• Launch of a new Warzone map - Urzikstan.
• A new Battle Pass with 100 tiers of content.
• Festive and themed maps and events.
• Ranked Play competitive multiplayer mode.

Activision highlighted that Modern Warfare 3 has achieved record engagement levels since its launch.

"Thank you for this historic launch," their statement reads. "Just two weeks in, MWIII has already set engagement records in the new Modern Warfare trilogy!"

According to the publisher, the game has shown "more hours per player overall" compared to 2019's Modern Warfare and last year's Modern Warfare 2.
