Could Steam Be Next? U.S. Sanctions Lead to Service Shutdowns in russia
A content creator has speculated that the platform may withdraw from the country due to recently enacted U.S. Department of the Treasury sanctions.
It has been confirmed that services like Sentry, Recraft, Notion, Wix, Hubspot, Coda, Miro, and ClickUp have already ceased operations in russia. In most cases, user accounts have been blocked, and all projects, files, and websites have been permanently deleted.
Multiple sources suggest that Steam could soon be added to this list, meaning russian users might soon encounter difficulties accessing the gaming platform.
