First details of The Summit 7
cs_summitThe 7th season of Dota 2 The Summit will be carried in summer. The organizers of the tournament have informed about this on their official website.
The championship will be hosted in the city Los-Angeles, USA. The participants will divide among each other the prize pool in the sum of $100,000.
It is unknown at this moment, who will be invited as participants by organizers and who will observe the tournament.
The company Beyond the Summit, which organizes the tournament, has said about the way of carrying out of the qualifying round.
Regional qualifiers will be divided into two stages. 8 teams, which will be divided into two groups, will take part in the first stage. Matches of these groups will be played in the GSL system. Two best teams will get to the second stage — the playoff. The second stage will be carried out in the Double Elimination bracket with best-of-three (bo3) matches. The match of the Grand Final will be played in the best-of-five (bo5) format. The winner of the second stage of qualifications will get to the LAN-final of The Summit 7.
