FACEIT has started using account authentication verification to combat scammers and boosters

FACEIT has introduced a new system called FACEIT ID, which will help combat fraudsters, smurfs, boosters, and cheaters. The company made the official announcement on its social media channels.

Currently, the verification process is voluntary and only required for participation in certain tournaments and qualifications. To pass the identity check, users need to provide a photo of their passport and a personal photo.

The company Daon, considered one of the best in this field, will process and store the data. Additionally, the company announced that the Elo and ranking system on the platform will be updated during 2023. More details on these changes will be released later.
