The main characters will be immune to the virus, and as the story progresses, they will need to find out what happened and who they have become.

Like the first game in the series, Dead Island 2 will boast a wide range of melee weapons, as well as their modifications. The fate of the firearms remains unknown. There will also be many different types of zombies.

The original Dead Island was released back in 2011. The project was developed by the Polish studio Techland, which later left the Deep Silver publishing house.
