XSET forlader disciplinen Halo
North American esports organization XSET has announced its retirement from Halo. The club explained its decision by the weak payback of the project, despite the current development of the competitive scene. At the same time, the organization added that it may return to the discipline in the future.
Today we made the difficult decision to exit the HCS system and the competitive Halo scene. At XSET, we are all passionate about games that are visible both in the past and in the future. We appreciate the efforts of 343 Industries as they go above and beyond to create an attractive and successful esports scene.
This is not an easy decision. Over the past year, we've invested heavily in our players and the future of the Halo competitive scene. However, esports is also a business, and as an organization we sometimes have to make difficult decisions about where to continue to invest our resources. We never say never, but now we say goodbye to the stage.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our players and coaches for the work they have done in introducing XSET to HCS over the past year. We are working with our players and staff to find new career and work opportunities. We hope you continue to support XSET and keep an eye on our existing esports divisions.
The XSET organization appeared in Halo last November. In eight months, the North American team managed to win HCS 2021-22 North America Open Series 7 and Esports Arena: Series E - Pro #1, as well as reach the finals at HCS 2021-22 North America Open Series 8 and HCS 2021-22 North America Open Series 9.
