SKADE fusionerer med Sammenslutningen af Norsk Industri
Norwegian esports organization SKADE has announced a partnership agreement with the Federation of Norwegian Industry. As part of the one-year agreement, the parties will work together to increase the number of young gamers and esports fans in Norwegian industrial companies.
Morten Skaland, CEO of SKADE: "We see that several companies here are in desperate need of more technical competence. Esports fans and enthusiasts are known for their technological literacy and specific IT expertise. Together with our new partner, we will show how this relevant competence can be transfer to jobs in the industry and all the opportunities in the industry."
It is reported that the Federation of Norwegian Industry will become an official partner of SKADE and will support all national events of the Norwegian brand. In addition, the parties intend to expand their partnership, which will include a series of content and a demonstration of opportunities for work in the field.
Kjetil Tvedt, Senior Advisor for Recruitment and Training at the Federation: "Esports and industrial companies use the same tools to do their job, and the gaming sector develops the graphics, modeling techniques and equipment that we use in the transition to modern production. Thanks With this collaboration, we hope that esports enthusiasts and gamers will gain insight into how industrial companies are using new technologies."
The aim of the collaboration is to highlight the similarities between the industrial and esports sectors, as both use the same digital tools in their work practices.
This is not the first time that an esports organization has joined forces with a business association or any other association. Earlier this year, Astralis announced a partnership agreement with the Confederation of Danish Industry. Likewise, Astralis has been focused on promoting esports opportunities for further growth in the local entertainment industry.
