An unusual event has taken place in the world of esports in Bangladesh. The Chuadang city police arrested more than a hundred participants in the PUBG Mobile tournament, which was banned there at the legislative level.

Adult esportsmen were sentenced to two days in prison. There were 24 such people. The remaining 78 participants of the event remain in the precinct until the age is checked. When the police find out how old the players participating in the championship were, they will send the rest of the people who are already 18 years old to jail. The rest, apparently, will receive some kind of fine, but how exactly they will pay for "such grave crimes" is still unknown. In addition, the organizers of the event, represented by six people, will also receive charges and a lawsuit will begin against them.

PUBG Mobile Tournament Participants in Bangladesh Arrested. Photo 1

Last August, PUBG Mobile was banned in Bangladesh just like Free Fire. The main reason was the petition of lawyers of the Supreme Court. This petition said that these multiplayer projects make the younger generation more violent and addicted to video games, which is harmful to the people of Bangladesh. The court accepted this position and at the end of the summer of 2021, a law was passed to ban PUBG Mobile and Free Fire. At first, it was planned that the game ban would last three months, but at the end of 2021, it was decided to extend the ban for an indefinite period.

A similar situation occurred in other countries of the Middle East and South Asia, and particularly in India. As for the latter, according to the government of this country, the Chinese collect information from mobile devices through the title. It was in 2020 during the Indo-Chinese border conflict. Then in the state of Gujarat, 10 students were arrested for playing PUBG.
