Leaked Capitano Model Hints at Powerful New Character's Imminent Arrival in Genshin Impact

A recent Genshin Impact leak has revealed the in-game model for one of the upcoming characters, the mysterious villain known as Capitano. Capitano is a member of the notorious Eleven Harbingers, a group of powerful officers serving under the Cryo Archon Tsaritsa within the Fatui organization.

Over the past few years, developer HoYoverse has consistently introduced one or two new Harbingers with each major regional update. While the recent Fontaine arc only brought in Arlecchino as a new Harbinger, the previous Sumeru storyline featured two of these characters, Scaramouche and Dottore.

Genshin Impact's recent Natlan teasers have introduced several notable characters who will play significant roles in the upcoming storyline. Among them is the Fatui Harbinger Capitano, also known as The Captain. The game's official storyline confirms that Capitano is the First Fatui Harbinger, making him one of the most powerful figures in Genshin Impact. He first appeared in the "A Winter Night's Lazzo" trailer, which also showcased the designs of all the other Harbingers. A recent post by a credible leaker named Mero has revealed Capitano's in-game model, which closely resembles his appearance in the Natlan teaser, though he no longer wears the white attire seen in the Winter Night's Lazzo trailer.

The leak of Capitano's model has led many fans to speculate that he will soon make his in-game debut. This is somewhat surprising, given that the first two updates following a major patch typically focus on introducing the new region. Genshin Impact's storyline also confirms that one of the game's most legendary characters, Varka, the Grandmaster of the Knights of Favonius, encountered Capitano during an expedition.

Although Varka initially sought to test his strength against the Harbinger, the two ultimately parted on peaceful terms. Previous leaks suggest that Capitano won't be the only Harbinger appearing in Natlan; the mysterious Columbina is also expected to be tied to the upcoming storyline.

Based on Genshin Impact's recent Natlan teasers, it's likely that the early updates will focus on the conflict between Capitano and the new Pyro Archon, Mavuika. Many Travelers are hopeful that HoYoverse will eventually add Capitano to the playable roster, as three other Harbingers have already been introduced as playable characters.
